Triple J Hottest 100: #4 Boy & Bear - Feeding Line
OMFG! ‘Feeding Line’ is Boy & Bear’s third song to make it into the 2011 Hottest 100 (‘Milk & Sticks’ charted at #49 and ‘Part Time Believer’ at #50, FYI).
It’s been a phenomenal year for the Sydney-based quintet, who won a plethora of new fans - along with a massive five ARIA awards. Killian Gavin told triple j that ‘Feeding Line’ was a key track in the making of their album, Moonfire: “We recorded this in the UK and re-recorded it in Nashville and sort of was the turning point, I think, of the record, with the songwriting and really opened up a new door for where we were going creatively.”
For a band that have been together for all of two and a half years, these Sydneysiders have proven to be naturally talented at landing songs in the countdown, with appearances at #5 and #45 in last year’s Hottest 100 list (for Fall At Your Feet and Rabbit Song, respectively).
